Mini Goldendoodle, lets think about it.

Unfortunately, there are some breeders that are trying to tell people that they can guarantee size on a Mini Goldendoodle, Mini Labradoodle ,This my friends is impossible!  Goldendoodles and Labradoodles come from regular size Labrador and Golden Retrievers. Those breeds do not come in mini or smaller sizes! So common sense should tell you that no breeder can possibly guarantee a Mini Goldendoodle be produced from such a cross.

Do NOT expect to get a  Mini Goldendoodle or Mini Labradoodle. It just is not going to happen. A larger gene can crop in there anytime. even in the same litter!

Aussiedoodles are the smallest we breed because Australian Shepherds do come in all sizes as does the poodle.
Our Mini/Medium Aussiedoodle puppies are expected to mature between 25 and 45 pounds, 14 to 18  at the shoulder.  A perfect size!

We do NOT artificially inseminate, I did not do this 20 yrs ago when I bred MINI Australian Shepherds, I didn’t have the luxury of out crossing to another smaller breed then and I can’t see breeding in problems in the Aussiedoodle by doing it now.

When I bred mini Australian Shepherds , we bred smaller to smaller avg size ended up 14?  and 20-30lbs .

Australian Shepherds come in all 3 Sizes> toy, miniature & standard sizes as do Poodles. Doodlesville breeds mini, mini/medium and medium/standard, Aussiedoodle.

I have YET to see a Labrador or Golden Retriever  come in smaller sizes! So how can any breeder possibly get a Mini Goldendoodle.

Some breeders are giving a false hope to people saying that they artificial inseminate Toy/Miniature Poodles to their standard size Retrievers in order to produce a Mini Goldendoodle. No way can they predict sizes, it all depends on how the genes fall per puppy in every litter.

Mini Goldendoodle Health Issues

The health issues that can stem from this breeding practice is numerous.  Resulting in longer backs, shorter legs, most importantly negative growth issues , We Do NOT do that here!!!

We feel that using artificial insemination  is bad breeding practices. If God meant it to happen it will happen naturally, if it doesn’t we wont take shortcuts to achieve it!!

Some breeders can be very deceptive in telling you that they breed ,”true minis”  or “comfort doodles” or the newest term “Micro” mini goldendoodle s/labradoodles  (PLEASE!) with the hybrids there is no such thing,
Now some breeders are using Cockers and Terriers  infused in the breed to get a smaller size,,  Ok I’m shaking my head here sheesh.
IMO these are one of the worse breeds to consider as a family dog.

I have formed this opinion from several years as a groomer & vet tech. Most spaniels and terriers have very nasty temperaments and are not suitable for service therapy or even family dogs since they are so unpredictable.
Not to mention the health issues to name a couple, major skin and persistent ear problems, along with cancers all of which runs in most AKC breeds because they have inbred and linebred so long!!!

Standard: height: 22- up  ( that is floor to shoulder)> Weight range tends to be  45 lbs-and up

Mini Goldendoodle Sizes Explained

Mini to Medium: This term is VERY deceptive with some breeders so be informed.  In fact I just hate even using it with the goldendoodle or labradoodle breeds God willing this will help you be a informed shopper.
With the Labradoodles and  Goldendoodles, there is NO way a breeder can guarantee size. EVER.

Aussiedoodles: If I say mini/medium they will be 25-45 lbs when grown depending on how the genes fall

Our Doodle Sizes:
Minis: Aussiedoodles Only are appx the size of a Minature Poodle  12-16? tall and 15-25 lbs

Medium: 15-18? tall and 25-45 lbs

Mediums Standards 45lbs -UP
(I do use MOYEN Poodles in my breeding program as well as Miniatures, Moyen Poodles are a cross between a Mini  Poodle bred to a Standard Poodle. so that produces a larger Miniature Poodle, Honestly I can’t even guarantee sizes, it all depends on how the genes fall, for each puppy In every litter.) I can guarantee I will never give you false hope of having a Mini Goldendoodle even if and when I breed to a miniature or a moyen poodle.

Do NOT be deceived!

In closing:  We do NOT artificially inseminate , nor do we infuse Spaniels or Terriers into the mix to  try to reduce size!

Some info on the web is very confusing concerning sizes, no breeder can honestly guarantee you size of a Doodle,  These are after all hybrids,

If you have size restrictions where you live I would not recommend a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle,  consider a Aussiedoodle, the weight range vary and Aussiedoodle sizes are easier to predict size. (weight is not a good judge, height would be floor to top of shoulder)
