Pickup Information: Thank you for choosing a Doodlesville Doodle puppy.

Please have Life’s Abundance Food , expen and crate set up for pups arrival and Nuvet vitamins ordered.   See Our  Puppy Shopping List Page. Also ON the Shop With Us page There is  a link to Jeffers Pet site, with a discount coupon, this is where you can purchase the recommended Expen , Crate, Ceramic Bowls, stuffing free toys, brush comb etc.  that we recommend. If you have questions please do not hesitate to call me!

ATTENTION: If you don’t have the Life Abundance food and Nuvet supplements ordered (not available in stores) , your puppy will NOT be released.

Important, PLEASE do NOT use PETSMART VETS,! I will null contract if you do. Supposedly their policy is you drop off your puppy. This is NOT normal procedure for any vet to recommend and very dangerous !

Also I no longer require a well puppy check up after pickup. I am fed up with seeing receipts from our clients on their first vets visit, for several hundred dollars for a well puppy checkup, Everything is up to date (shots worming etc) when you pick up your pup, worming, vaccines to date etc.

Allowing your vet to give more shots to your pup puts your pups health in jeopardy and diminishes the effectivness of the vaccines we have already given.

**We feed Life’s Abundance. I have not been happy with what has been available to me thru local stores. This food is not available in stores, it must be ordered. You will receive it within 3 days normally. Please get on auto ship, so you don’t run out of food and to save money. If you do not have Life’s Abundance at home for pups arrival ,puppy will not be released. This is a superior food that we feel very happy and proud to recommend such a great quality food for our puppies We are feeding our own dogs and puppies this food with great results!!

Order the NuVet Supplements it is a chewable wafer that you can give as a daily treat or crumble in food. It is vital to the development of pups immune system, especially during his first years, but nutritionally beneficial for life.

Purchase a 36″ wire crate, (Set Up the Expen and Crate As Pictured) I like the double door type, it sets up easily in any area. (Do not use the divider for your puppy). AND a 32″ to 36“Ex-Pen,(depending on size of your puppy). Connect the Ex-Pen to the large wire crate this set up makes the pup feel less confined and will make the crate and house training less stressful on a puppy.  Check out our Puppy Shopping List  is our store where I have specified recommended crate, expen, bowls, toys, ect. A stressed puppy is a sick puppy , this set up makes introduction to their new home allot easier on the puppy, which is what we all want isn’t it? It is so unfair to put a pup in a crate and expect it to not have to potty, and then have to walk in it, they need a secure place to be as well, that is why the expen and crate set up is the absolute best confinement for a puppy! We want the pups new home to be a stress free as possible as I am sure you do.

If you had planned on putting up gates in a area please reconsider, not only can your pup chew on baseboards, floors, rugs, they have a potential of ingesting this and that can be fatal, and or require emergency surgery. Not to mention this set up aids in house training and crate training.

Puppy needs to be in his area (expen and crate) 2 hrs to every 1 hour of play time, this will prevent creating a problem of the pup becoming overly stressed when you are not able to be with them, and require puppy Prozac in the future you can’t possibly be there to watch the pup 24/7 and is NOT fair to close pup up in a crate for any length of time , he cannot and should not be expected to hold himself, he is just a baby!

Your allowing him to run the house is not even a option, it only takes one second and they can get into trouble just like a toddler, you would have a playpen for your baby, why not for your puppy?? We do not advise things for the new puppy just to be difficult, we advise things to make life easier for the puppy and for you, These are tried and true methods!

Food & Water

First, in order to avoid an upset tummy, please use bottled water exclusively for the first several days at home. Once your pup seems more comfortable and into your routine, gradually switch his water to your regular (tap) water, watching for UTI, peeing to much or having trouble peeing etc. Again, gradual is the key word here. Over the course of several days, reduce the amount of bottled water while increasing the amount of tap water. This will ease the transition and potentially save you from cleaning up vomit and diarrhea.

FEEDING WHEN YOU GET HOME

• First feeding when you get home, in a coffee cup put in Lifes Abundance dry food leave about a inch so above food line, use bottled water microwave for about 1minute until HOT, stir and let stand for appx 15 min to cool, this will help with 1/2 the digestion for your pup after a big day, then daily. In the morning, repeat coffee cup no need to let this get mushy, just a little soft, after pup starts eating ,fill bowl with DRY food, this will continue with the free feeding we start here.

Evening feeding repeat morning instructions. When feeding breakfast & dinner, remember to pet your puppy. This will train your pup not to have food aggression developments in the future.

After about 2 weeks in your home, your puppy should be on dry free choice food all day. Free choice feeding helps prevent gorging on food, and lessens the chance of upset tummies or bloating.

Please keep your pup on dry food for his whole life and limit table food to avoid having an overweight dog. Dry food also helps prevent tartar build-up change from puppy food to adult food between 5-6 months old.

Rather then getting a nice bed for your pups, towels are better to start then let your pup grow up a bit first, save that dollar, they tend to chew beds up.
